Bringing Opportunity to
Clay County
Cedar Ridge will create a new, local source of ammonia, long-term jobs and growth for Clay County's economy.

Partnering with Farmers
All participation in the project is voluntary. For those who choose to sign up, lease payments will help family farms diversify their income and preserve their way of life. This project cannot and will not use eminent domain. We will only work with willing landowners who want the long-term benefits of the project.

Creating New Jobs
The Cedar Ridge project will create approximately 100 long-term jobs in both ammonia production and maintenance of wind and solar energy equipment. Additionally, construction will bring new short-term jobs and with them, an economic boost to local service industries. These jobs will create new opportunities for residents and help strengthen the community in and around Clay County.

Building Clay County's Economy
Long-term jobs and tax revenue from the project can help build Clay County’s economy, fund local schools and community services, and create opportunities for the next generation.
Benefits of the Cedar Ridge Energy Project
The Cedar Ridge Energy Center is in preliminary discussions with local landowners about a project to construct a new, clean ammonia production facility.
The project would be powered by wind and solar energy and use proven technology to produce ammonia. Clay County has the resources, infrastructure and location that make it an excellent fit for this project.
Once constructed, the project would impact less than 1% of the county's agricultural land while creating significant local benefits.
